Call for MOSES Improvement Suggestions |
By John Myers, Buxton, February 29, 2008
Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Working Group
The Committee:
The IF&W Working Group consists of members from the MTCCA and the Maine Municipal Tax Collectors’ & Treasurers’ Association. The group meets with Bill Swan the State Licensing & Registration Director, three or four times per year to review items of interest to IF&W Sales Agents. The group addresses issues effecting manual and MOSES agents; game licenses as well as snowmobile, boat and ATV registrations.
Next Meeting:
The Committee’s next meeting will be conducted as an email meeting. The Committee will collect questions, comments or concerns and then compile them into one list for IF&W to review. If you have any items that you would like covered with IF&W, please email one of the members listed below by March 15th or call the committee chair, John Myers at 929-6171. Please be assured that only on rare occasion, when the need is warranted, is the sender of a concern revealed to IF&W. By the end of March, when IF&W has had a chance to answer each item an email will be sent out to those belonging to the Clerks’ or the Tax Collectors’ & Treasurers’ email groups.
Thank You:
The Committee would like to say thank you to all of the agents that have helped with questions in the past. This is your committee and we’re only successful with your help. Your help is appreciated.

Responses:
I feel that it would be very beneficial to all the Agents/Clerks for IF&W if the process wasn't so repetitive. We should only need to key in the persons name once and access all information pertaining to them. For example, you input the person's name and DOB. Then it shows you the items they have registered or licenses they have. If they have three snowmobiles to register, you click on the first one, it takes you to another screen where you input the registration number. You then have to go back to finding the person you want, then find their previous registration, choose it, etc. Is there a way to once you have found the first item, you can click on more items to process at the same time or a "go back to" button when you are done registering the first item and want to choose the next one or two or three, etc. What is the quickest way to do more than one transaction for a person? Thanks for your help. (Wanda Bartlett, Brownfield)
