The Annual Technology Conference is being held on March 11 th at the Augusta Civic Center. We are offering a full day of programming on technology issues impacting municipalities.

The General Program starts the day off with something for everyone who depends on computer data and technology - “Planning for an IT Disaster – a guide for local government” . It is followed later in the day by a panel discussing this issue from the local perspective.
A whole day's programming is being offered by the Maine GIS User Group focusing on municipal uses of GIS. Some of the highlights are:
Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc. ) will be discussed in two workshops. One focuses on how to use it to communicate with citizens. The other discusses it from the legal perspective, as they d is cuss “ Regulatory Aspects of Electronic Communications and Record-Keeping”.
